Agusti Benedito says he's got a €80m sponsor for Barcelona
Agusti Benedito, Barcelona presidential candidate, has presented on Wednesday an alternative sponsor to Qatar Airway. In a press conference in his electoral headquarters he said Indian company World Trade Brands Limited could be an alternative sponsor to Qatar Airways. With the brand Flight, an energy drink, one of the products they offer, he thinks they will be able to provide Barcelona with €70-80million a season, for three years.
Hours before on TV3 Benedito had said "it's an English company with Hindu capital. They want to advertise not because I am Benedito, but because we are Barcelona."
It would only be for the first-team shirts, and not the training gear.
Before the presentation, the same as Josep Maria Bartomeu did, Benedito signed up with the Platform for Language, to improve the status of Catalan in Barcelona. "So future Messis speak Catalan," he explained.
