Agreement of Barça board over Neymar case may be challenged

The board of Barça will meet on Monday in an ordinary session to rule on one of its most important issues in history - the Neymar case.

Along with his 20 directors, Josep Maria Bartomeu will vote for or against whether the club, as a legal entity, must plead guilty to two criminal offences of tax evasion.

The offences include withholding or not making official the financial year figures of 2011 and 2013 available after signing contracts with the company 'N&N', who owns the rights of Neymar.

These crimes are based on the assumption that implies the exemption of former club president Sandro Rossell and Bartomeu.

Barça will also face a fine of 5.5 million euros.

All this is the bulk of the compliance agreement that has been reached between the legal representatives of Barça, Bartomeu, Rossell, the State Attorney (representative of the Tax Agency) and the prosecutor, who demanded prison sentences and significant monetary fines for Bartomeu and Rossell.
