How will Luis Enrique spend Barça's 43 million euro kitty?

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu revealed on Thursday that the club have 43 million euros to spend on players once the arrival of Samuel Umtiti is confirmed following the European Championships.

With this amount of money, the club must decide between signing a top level player or tying down two 'mid-level' players to boost the squad.

What seems certain is that Denis Suarez will return to Can Barça in an operation which will cost 3.5 million euros, leaving the club with 39.5 million to spend.

Option 1: Andre Gomes

Luis Enrique likes the midfielder and he could leave Valencia for 35-40 million euros. The arrival of Gomes would 'displace' Denis Suarez from a midfield role and the Villarreal man would instead, when necessary, act as the fourth forward.

Option 2: Kevin Gameiro

Sporting director Robert Fernandez has spent years following the French striker, but Sevilla continue to point to his 40 million euro clase. His signing would therefore mean spending all the club's remaining cash on a substitute.

Option 3: Gabriel Jesus and a right-back

SPORT revealed that the young Palmeiras forward is on Barça's agenda and his arrival would cost close to 25 million euros, leaving around 15 million euros to sign a right-back to replace Dani Alves. At a stretch, that could be Joao Cancelo (Valencia) or Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea).

Option 4: Lucas Perez and a right-back

The Deportivo La Coruna forward would be a more economic option to strengthen the attack, given his price tag is around 14 million euros. That would leave money to sign a right-back to compete with Aleix Vidal and Sergi Roberto. With more money left over, the club may be tempted to go for Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) or Elseid Hysaj (Napoli).

Option 5: A wildcard

It wouldn't be the first time Barça end up signing a player whose name has not appeared previously in relation to a move to the club. If Barça aren't convinced by any of the options, they could hold on to the money before making a move towards the end of the transfer market for an exciting, unexpected player.
