Adriano misses Barça trip amidst Besiktas negotiations

Adriano Correia has not made joined the Barcelona contingent on their trip to St. George's Park as the defender continues negotiations with Besiktas.

On Monday, the Blaugrana announced that Adriano had been given permission to remain in Catalonia to finalise his move to the Turkish club.

The Brazilian was welcomed at Istanbul airport on Sunday by a group of Besiktas supporters and will sign a three-year deal with a net salary of 2.4 million euros per year.

However, pending the results of his medical, the only problem remaining to finalise the deal is the fee to be paid to Barça. Adriano has asked to leave as a free agent but the Catalan club want some form of financial compensation.

At this moment, as reported in Turkey, there appears to be an agreement for 600,000 euros to be paid in three installments over the course of the player's contract.
