Adriano could move to Lazio after talks with Serie A club begin

The doors are open for Barcelona full-back Adriano to leave in the summer, and he has started to receive offers. The most interesting of these is from Lazio. The Italian club is willing to pay Barcelona a nominal fee for his transfer and offer him a contract of four years, which would allow him to finish his career at the top level. The Brazilian has met with representatives from the Roman club and is waiting to negotiate the final conditions of his exit.

Adriano was at the point of leaving last summer but Barcelona wanted to keep him so the squad could compete on all fronts. The reality is that Luis Enrique has practically not used him this year and he will be among those who depart. Adriano decided to activate the clause in his deal that extended it by one year last month, but both parties know it is best for him to leave.

The future of Adriano, save for a late arrival of a multi-million offer from elsewhere, will be in Serie A. Roma are interested too but their offer is insufficient. Lazio seems the team best positioned to capture him.
