100 days of Ernesto Valverde: "I would give the team 10 out of 10"

Ernesto Valverde spoke in a press conferenceo n Friday to talk about the weekend's game against Malaga having just completed 100 days in charge of Barcelona. 

The coach was asked what mark he would give his side out of 10 during this time and he said he was very grateful to the players. 

"When you talk about marks, if you say eight, they ask why not a 10, because you're two points short. So I will give it a high mark, a 10. Now we're going to worry about making sure we do well in the next 265 days." 

During these first few months at Barça, Valverde said that he's worried about all about "the play, although there have been other, social situations, too. But it's about focusing on the 11 against 11. Going out on the pitch and winning. It's certainly not been boring... let's see if the next 100 days are quieter." 

LOVE FOR Barça

President Josep Maria Bartomeu said in the week that Barcelona fans had falled in love with Valverde. The coach replied: "We all know that you fall in and out of love very quickly in football" and added that what he likes about Barça is "its greatness, the feeling towards the club... a lot of things." 

Barça host a Malaga side who are bottom of the table on Saturday, with coach Michel under pressure. Valverde said he doesn't have the feeling he could be responsible for another manager getting sacked and that "when you go out to play a game you want to win. I respect Michel, he's a great manager and the circumstances of each team are what they are. Malaga aren't as bad as one point suggests, but they did lose a lof of important players in the summer, like Fornals and Camacho." 

TREBLE 

To end the press conference, Valverde was asked about the treble and took it in good humour: "Now with the treble!? We're in La Liga right now, our intention is to be strong in La Liga and of course to win everything."
